NHS Knee Arthroscopy at The Alexandra Hospital, April 2025:

My operation took place approx. 7 weeks ago as a day patient at the Alexandra hospital in Cheadle. From admission to discharge it ran like clockwork, patient care was second to none, as was my operation performed by Professor Jari and his theatre team, nurses and Anaesthetist. I have since been back to the Alexandra to carry on with rehabilitation via physiotherapy, I am pain free, gaining improved mobility day to day and back working. My only regret was not involving Professor Jari sooner hoping things would just improve, which they never do. To finish, I cannot recommend Professor Jari highly enough, he's a brilliant surgeon and a nice genuine guy who actually cares.

Having heard several accounts of traumatic experiences, I have to admit, I initially approached the decision to have knee replacement with trepidation. The kindness and reassurance of Professor Jari and his team reassured me and helped me to make the decision to go ahead with surgery. Throughout my short stay in the Alexandra Hospital, care was thorough and professional and latterly, having followed the Professor’s comprehensive post-op advice, I am amazed (as are my friends and family) that the recovery has been far less painful and much speedier than ever anticipated. The improvement to my mobility was instant, even during the early days of recovery I was aware of the transformation. I cannot thank the very kind Professor Jari and his team enough. The golf buggy is now a thing of the past.
